Fall Retreat 08

We just got back from our annual Fall Retreat to Wesley Woods, and it was a blast. God used David Leach in big ways to speak truths we needed to hear. Who would have thought that following Christ is as simple as "Fixing our eyes on Jesus" (Heb. 12:2)? Shifting our focus on to him, instead of our problems or what's in front of us.

We had an amazing time spending this weekend with the Munsey UMC (Johnson City) folks, the two groups gel together quite nicely. Dan Gray and his gang are some of the best folks to work with.

Special thanks to Josh Stevens for leading worship, really getting us focused on Christ before we heard the messages. Also huge thank you's to Dwight, Jennifer, Ronnie, Lyssa and Katie. It is because of you all that this was a success!

Keith Youth Band Rocks Out!

A couple of days ago, our youth band got to travel to Ooltewah United Methodist Church to perform at the Festival of Gifts and Talents. We had a great group come to support and a real blast. The band (still searching for a name?) absolutely rocked! Thanks to Josh for working so hard with them for the past months, and to the band for their resiliance even with minor "setbacks*. The band consists of Alex Clark-Drums, Davis Studdard-Base, Drew TheHero - lead guitar, and Katie Siklosi & Zeke Varajon w/ lead vocals. They performed the song "My God's Enough" by BarlowGirl.

We finished a long, but fun, day by hanging out at UMYF and playing a couple of silly games. Check the pics above for a snapshot of our busy day.
