We had a terrific time on our Mission Trip to Charelston, S.C.! We had 10 youth and two adults go on this trip, meeting up with another 10 youth from Wesley Memorial in Johnson City, their youth director Gary and three other adults from the conference.
We were able to serve in a variety of ways, including exterior painting, yard work, debris and trash removal, pressure washing, serving food at a local homeless shelter, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, local Goodwill, and packing food boxes to be shipped from a large food bank. We had some fun at the beach a little bit too, and quite a few other random adventures!
We all agree the best part of the week was definitely the experience of serving alongside new folks, and our two groups became quite a family as the course of the week went on. We already have plans for further activities with these new friends from Wesley!
